So i started having problems with my MacBook Pro 2009 or 2010, it would freeze and cut out. Battery was running super hot. It was being slow and unresponsive and then finally the hard drive seemingly died (question mark folder)
I managed to reinstall snow leopard osx and get it going and it died again.
So I bought some new ram (4gb) and a new Samsung 640gb hard drive and installed it . Then after a while, same symptoms began, crashing, freezing and then it would die (question mark folder)
So I took it to a Mac reseller near me and they told me the hard drive I had bought was faulty. And upon doing some heavy diagnostics, it died. So i sent it back to where i bought it (macfixit.com.au) and they said the hard drive was in perfect working order. *So I took it home plugged in the external hard drive and managed to get it going again. Until the same symptoms again and then it died.
But now I can no longer load anything on the hard drive, but If i plug in the external hard drive and run it from that, it seems to run fine.
Someone had told me it maybe the SATA cable?
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it’d be much appreciated
