I use logic pro x , and have done lots of recording with it , but for some reason when im doing a overdub or punch in 1 of 2 things happens…
A – when doing a punch in ( ie using the red bar marker at the top ) i can hear the original track playing but only hear my instrument at the point of the recording starting , ie i cant play along with the original track im over dubbing onto to get the feel running into the section i want to rerecord
B – when i do it by just pressing record on the original track i can hear my instrument and not the track im over dubbing onto
Please help as its driving me mad…ive always been able to do overdubs both ways and always been able to hear my instrument and track at the same time at any point in the recording
