Please help! Huge problem.

I have forgot my password and I have to connect to iTunes to enable it. I have decided to restore it but it doesn’t work, it says it’s Error -39. Even if I do, it says I need to activate the password. I have tried everything on Apple website but nothing works. The iPad basically locked itself in jail.
