http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i5-2.5- 13-mid-2012-unibody-usb3-specs.html

My mac randomly shut down today, when I reboot it, it failed to work. Since then I have got the “no” or “null” symbol (circle with a line through it), folder with a question mark, single-user mode not responding, {command+r} resulted in being unable to wipe the HD because of my version being more recent than the one it was attempting to reinstall (I **** you not).

Then after hours of looking at forums and restarting using different methods, it amazingly worked. However, after about 10 minutes it shut back down. This has happened 3 times total, the last one I attempted to update my software, and it shut down midupdate.

Since the last restart, I have cycled back into the previous problems.

If anyone knows how to fix this, please help!
